Brass band around the lid & the box itself then a Little clasp like that goes over bottom half to close box. Band is very ornate & detailed. See pics. Inside Lid lined & inside box with a blue silky material.The top of lid & bottom of box has raised design, Bottom stamped TradeMark ~Wave Crest~ Vintage &Highly Sought after! Some Wave Crest Items are so rare they are worth hundreds of thousands of dollars! I CAN'T FIND this Exact piece ANY WHERE & I've searched Wave Crest's Sites.Have taken it to various antique dealers & nobody has ever seen one Like this ever! They tell me I have something very Unique & Beautiful & Should Take VERY GOOD care of it.They offered me a LRG amount of money for it but also said that they Even think their offers are extremely Low. I appreciate their honesty & turned them down.
